These works are groupings of painted wood tiles arranged on handmade slotted shelves. Each board is painted on both sides, so they can be rearranged and flipped over to reveal new compositions.

Some inspiration for this project comes from children's blocks. I imagine they could function as some kind of pedagogical tools in an alternate reality. In this reality, they are an exploration of a new way to think about painting.
