These works are groupings of painted wood tiles arranged on handmade slotted shelves. Each board is painted on both sides. They can be rearranged and flipped over to reveal new compositions. Some inspiration comes from children's blocks and the modernist pedagogy of Friedrich Froebel.

I began making these at about the scale of dominoes at the start of the pandemic, working with markers - something repetitive to do to keep busy, a kind of therapy.
