El Pueblo Unido
My most recent project is a collection of tiered cylinders thrown on the wheel. They draw from ancient architectural forms like stupas and ziggurats, and mechanical parts like car transmissions. They also read as figures. I’m calling the project “El Pueblo Unido” - a town or people, united - to honor this year of protest. These pieces work most effectively in a group.

Observer Station
You can go up on a mountain to get a clear signal, or to share your message far and wide. These sculptures might stand in for sound emitters or deep listeners, places to transmit or receive. The title "Observer Station" was borrowed from dub reggae artist Niney the Observer.
